My sister and I had the pleasure of visiting the stunning Isabel Lounge during our stay in Rio de Janeiro. As soon as we arrived, we were blown away by the breathtaking views of the city. From the 39th floor, we were able to see iconic landmarks such as the Sugarloaf Mountain, Christ the Redeemer, and Copacabana beach. The whole experience was unforgettable, and we would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Rio.
The decor of the Isabel Lounge is something to admire. The boho-chic inspiration creates a relaxed and cozy atmosphere, with separate lounges adorned with comfortable sofas, armchairs, and coffee tables. The lush vegetation and fresh fabrics make it a truly ‘instagramable’ place to be. The rooftop pool is also a fantastic touch, perfect for hotel guests to take a dip and cool off during the day.
At night, the rooftop bar was the place to be. The drink menu created by Alex Mesquita was a highlight, with authentic and mouth-watering cocktails made with Brazilian herbs and seeds. The food menu by Chef Pablo Ferreyra was another standout, with delicious Brazilian flavors and perfect dishes for sharing. The sophisticated, cosmopolitan, and bohemian atmosphere made us feel like we were in a different world.
We made sure to time our visit for sunset, and it was truly magical. The opening hours on Fridays and Saturdays are from 18.00 – 22.30, so make sure to plan your visit accordingly. Overall, we had a fantastic experience at the Isabel Lounge and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a unique and unforgettable rooftop bar experience.
