My sister and I recently visited Gallow Green NYC’s rooftop bar and I must say it was quite the experience. As we made our way up to the terrace, we were immediately taken aback by the lush and cozy garden setting. The abundance of plants and wooden benches and tables gave the whole vibe an earthy and organic feel- a rarity in the concrete jungle that is NYC.
The skyline view was breathtakingly beautiful and we immediately took a seat at one of the real dining tables that were conveniently placed amongst the greenery. As we sat down, we were greeted by the warm and lively atmosphere of the Gallow Green rooftop bar.
We both decided to try some of their signature cocktails and my sister was particularly impressed by the “Honey Pot” cocktail which was made with gin, cucumber, honeydew melon, honey, and soda- a unique combination that she found to be absolutely divine.

As a foodie, I was particularly looking forward to the famous rooftop brunch that is served every weekend during the warmer season between 10am-4pm. For $50, you can indulge in a great buffet brunch with live entertainment which is an amazing deal in the city.
We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a charming and romantic dinner, relaxing cocktails with friends or even just a sunny brunch. However, do make sure to make a reservation beforehand, especially for the weekend brunch as it is quite popular.
If you plan on visiting in the winter months, Gallow Green transforms into The Hideout which is a mountainside ski cabin nestled in a secluded forest at the rooftop- a perfect escape from the winter blues.
