My boyfriend and I had the pleasure of visiting Bird of Smithfield during a recent business trip to London. This hidden gem, nestled in a charming five-story Georgian townhouse, was truly a delight to discover.

Despite its small size, the terrace was beautifully adorned with greenery and colorful furniture. The views over Smithfield Market were simply breathtaking.

As my boyfriend and I enjoyed our meals and drinks on the rooftop, we couldn’t help but be impressed by the level of service we received. The staff at Bird of Smithfield take great pride in making their guests feel at home, and it’s evident in everything they do.

Speaking of drinks, the rooftop has its own menu with a variety of fine cocktails to choose from. My boyfriend particularly enjoyed the ‘Rye Whiskey Negroni’, while I couldn’t resist the ‘Pink Pepper Gin & Tonic’. The food was also top-notch, and we both agreed that the three-course meal was well worth the price.

One thing to note is that the rooftop terrace operates on a first-come, first-serve basis for groups smaller than six people. So if you’re planning a visit on a sunny day, be sure to get there early. Alternatively, the terrace (and other parts of the house) can also be rented for private events.
