Last night, I went on a tinder date to the highest beach rooftop bar in Berlin, Deck 5 Sky Beach. As soon as I arrived, I was amazed by the decor. With big slumber sofas, deck chairs, palm trees, and real sand, the place truly feels like a hidden and tropical oasis above the concrete jungle. The view of Berlin from the 7th floor of the mall Schönhause Allee Arcaden is also breath-taking.
We kicked off the evening by trying some of the refreshing and summer-inspired cocktails. My date went for a classic margarita, while I opted for a pina colada. The cocktails were beautifully presented and tasted great! We also ordered some Mediterranean dishes, and I must say, the food was delicious.
Deck 5 Sky Beach is perfect for a daytime visit, but we decided to stay for the sunset and live DJs. The atmosphere was electric, and we danced the night away. I was impressed by the wide range of cocktails on offer, as well as the homemade ice-tea, beers, and coffee.
I should also note that during December, the rooftop is usually open for Berlin’s highest Christmas market. I can only imagine how cosy the setting must be, with lots of Christmas decorations, tents to enjoy bites and drinks, and even a curling field for rooftop fun. This is definitely something I’d like to experience in the future.
Overall, I had an amazing time at Deck 5 Sky Beach. The combination of the rooftop location, the beach club atmosphere, and the fantastic view of Berlin make this place truly unique. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fun and sophisticated evening out.
