My sister and I recently visited SkyLab, the rooftop restaurant, bar, and pool at the five-star Rio Othon Palace in Rio de Janeiro. The rooftop pool was reserved for hotel guests, but SkyLab was open to all and we were excited to try it out.
As soon as we arrived, we were captivated by the stunning view of Copacabana that SkyLab offers. The sunset was magical, and we couldn’t stop taking pictures of the beach and mountains. The restaurant and bar have both indoor and outdoor seating, but we chose to sit outside on the open-air terrace to fully enjoy the view.
The menu at SkyLab is impressive, with a focus on French cuisine and Brazilian favorites. My sister loved the creative and cutting-edge dishes, and we both agreed that the Saturday feathered feijoada was a highlight. The atmosphere at SkyLab is quite upscale, adding to the overall experience. It’s the perfect spot for fine dining with amazing views. The opening hours on Fridays and Saturdays are from 12.00 – 23.30, but we recommend making a reservation to ensure a table.
