My sister and I had the pleasure of visiting the JW Marriott Rio de Janeiro, and let me tell you, the experience was nothing short of spectacular. The Moonlounge Rooftop Bar was the highlight of our stay, with its breathtaking views over Copacabana and the ocean beyond.

As we arrived at the rooftop, we were immediately taken aback by the stunning pool and lounge area, which unfortunately is exclusive to in-house guests. However, the Moonlounge Rooftop Bar is open to all, and we were excited to try their delicious street-style food and cocktails.

One thing that stood out to us was the food truck parked on the rooftop, which served as the source of all the creative dishes prepared by chef Thomaz Leão. The artisanal ingredients made the food taste even better, and we highly recommend ordering the Caipirinhas and crafted beers.

The rooftop bar was perfect for some relaxing sunset drinks and bites, but things definitely livened up during the weekends with live DJs creating the perfect soundtrack for the occasion. The opening hours on Fridays and Saturdays are from 10.00 – 22.00, and we highly recommend stopping by if you’re in the area.

Overall, the Moonlounge Rooftop Bar at JW Marriott Rio de Janeiro is an absolute must-visit. The stunning views, delicious food and drinks, and vibrant atmosphere made for an unforgettable experience.
