Alquímico Bar is truly a masterpiece in Old Town Cartagena. My girlfriend and I visited this place and were impressed with the multi-level and art-deco themed cocktail bar. We enjoyed exploring different floors, each of which offered an alchemical experience. The main and first floor La Mansión were impressive, but the second floor classic cocktail bar El Balcón was our favorite. All stairs lead to the third and top floor Terraza, which is a tropical tiki-bar with a vibrant rooftop.
We were amazed to hear that Alquímico was ranked 41st in the Top 500 Global Bar ranking for 2021. It’s no surprise that they take a scientific approach to the art of mixology, and the rooftop bar offers creative signature cocktails inspired by ten of the most respresentative animals of Colombia. My girlfriend and I loved their drinks, they were out of the ordinary and top class.
Apart from the drinks, the rooftop also offers dishes inspired by Colombian recipes, ingredients, and techniques. We tried a variety of dishes from skewers and ceviche to seafood and burgers, and all of them were delicious. We would highly recommend trying their food.
The vibrant atmosphere of the Alquímico rooftop was the highlight of our visit. The live DJs create a club-feel as the night wears on. It’s the perfect place to enjoy drinks and music with friends or loved ones. We spent a great time enjoying the rooftop’s colorful and vibrant ambiance.
