My sister and I discovered an intimate and casual oasis in Carlton called Wolf’s Lair. It was a hidden gem and not many people seem to know about it. The inside bar is a small and cosy ‘den’ decorated with curios from across Europe. Meanwhile, the rooftop terrace is more open and green. Wooden bench-like seating and tables give the place a relaxed and cool vibe. Although the views are not magical, the atmosphere is very friendly and relaxing.
My sister was particularly impressed with the selection of wines, beers, and ciders. She also enjoyed the classic cocktails and apertifs. The food menu offers pizzas and sharing plates, which we found to be delicious.
We recommend Wolf’s Lair as a great spot for some open-air drinks if you happen to be in the area.
