My sister and I had the pleasure of visiting The Old Clare Hotel’s rooftop bar oasis in the midst of Sydney’s bustling city – and it did not disappoint. The hotel’s fifteen-month refurbishment truly paid off, as the stunning fourth-floor terrace offers a wooden decked, glass-enclosed, and stylish rooftop oasis with beautiful views of the city and Chippendale.
The highlight of the terrace is undoubtedly the incredible 14-metre rooftop pool. Although usually reserved for hotel guests, the heated pool is a sight to behold year-round. However, don’t fret if you’re not staying at the hotel – the rooftop bar is open to the public from Thursday to Sunday.
As for the drinks and bites, A1 Canteen’s menu was a delightful surprise. The eastern-Mediterranean-influenced snacks and bites paired perfectly with the creative signature cocktails, classic cocktails, beer, and wine. My sister and I highly recommend trying the signature cocktails – they were simply divine.
The opening hours on Fridays and Saturdays are perfect for a day-to-night rooftop experience, running from 12:00 pm – 10:00 pm. You’ll truly feel like a VIP as you lounge by the rooftop pool, soaking up the sun and sipping on expertly crafted cocktails.
Overall, we had a fantastic experience at The Old Clare Hotel’s rooftop bar oasis. The location, views, and atmosphere were top-notch, and the drinks and bites were a true highlight. We cannot wait to go back and experience this bougie oasis again!
