My boyfriend and I recently visited Icebergs Dining Room and Bar for a weekend getaway in Bondi, Sydney. Our experience at this lovely rooftop bar and restaurant was nothing short of amazing. The ocean views were breathtaking, and the summer vibes were on point.
Although the rooftop terrace has recently been turned into a closed-in private dining room, the indoor bar and dining room were equally stylish and relaxing. The Italian fine dining restaurant had floor-to-ceiling windows offering stunning views over the ocean. The indoor bar was a perfect spot for a pre-dinner drink or two, we were impressed with the handcrafted food, drinks and music.
We were lucky enough to catch a sunny day, so we headed up to the recently refurbished wooden decked rooftop terrace. The decor was simple but the dramatic view over the Pacific Ocean, Bondi Beach and the Icebergs Club swimming pool below was breathtaking. We enjoyed a smaller terrace menu, including a selection of pasta and burgers, and a few beers, cocktails, and wines. The terrace was a perfect spot for a very relaxing couple of hours in the sun.
One thing to keep in mind is that while reservations are needed for lunch or dinner at the Icebergs Dining Room, the rooftop terrace works on a first-come, first-served basis. My boyfriend and I were lucky to get a spot, but on a busy day, it could be difficult.
My boyfriend’s favorite part of our experience was definitely the rooftop terrace with its stunning views and relaxed atmosphere. Overall, we highly recommend this bougie spot for anyone looking for a fancy and natural dining experience with a view to die for.
