Babylon Rooftop is truly a hidden gem in the heart of Sydney, and I had the pleasure of experiencing this Middle Eastern haven during a recent holiday trip with some of my closest friends. From the moment we stepped onto the 1200sqm rooftop, we were greeted with an ambiance that was both lush and sprawling, offering a beautiful recreation of the ancient city.

The rooftop restaurant and bar are packed with Middle Eastern inspired looks and tastes, and we were blown away by the beautiful views over the surrounding CBD skyscrapers. The restaurant, two large bars, wood-fired kitchen, and outdoor terrace all made us feel like we were transported to a different time and place. We particularly loved the flora, fauna, and ocean inspired shared menu, which Head Chef Arman Uz created with rich and flavourful Levantine cuisine from the Middle East and Eastern Mediterranean.

The rooftop bar was equally impressive, boasting a signature cocktail menu with Middle Eastern influence, as well as a 200+ whisky offering and a wine menu that included a hand-picked selection of Old World and New World wines. The 300+ capacity bar was perfect for our group, and the opening hours on Fridays and Saturdays, from 11.30 – 00.00, made it the perfect spot for a fun night out.

My friends and I all agreed that Babylon Rooftop is an absolute must-visit destination for anyone traveling to Sydney. The Middle Eastern vibes, stunning décor, and delicious food and drink offerings are simply unparalleled in the city. We would highly recommend Babylon to anyone looking for a sophisticated and unique dining and nightlife experience in Sydney. Trust us, you won’t regret it.
