My sister and I recently visited the 14 Stories Rooftop Bar located in the SunSquare Cape Town City Bowl hotel. As we entered the bar, we were awestruck by the panoramic views of Cape Town landmarks such as Table Mountain, Signal Hill and the V&A Waterfront. We immediately knew we were in for a treat!
The rooftop bar had a modern and stylish decor with a mix of comfy lounge sofas and regular bistro-tables. The indoor lounge had panoramic windows that allowed us to enjoy the breathtaking views while sipping our cocktails. We opted to sit outside on the terrace, which covered several sides of the building. The outdoor seating area provided the perfect setting to enjoy the fresh air and the stunning cityscape.
The 14 Stories Rooftop Bar served a light menu of casual snacks, tasty signature cocktails and the ‘regulars’ of beer, wine and bubbles. The cocktails were expertly crafted, and we couldn’t get enough of them! My sister, who is a bit of a foodie, was impressed with the variety of snacks offered on the menu. She especially enjoyed the crispy calamari and the spicy chicken wings.
What impressed us the most was the indoor pool and the complementing sun loungers. Relaxing in the indoor pool area was a highlight of our visit. We felt pampered and rejuvenated after spending some time in the tranquil ambiance of the pool area.
