The Ready Rooftop Bar is a true gem nestled in the heart of East Village. My tinder date and I were absolutely blown away by the lush and colorful setting that greeted us upon arrival. It’s clear that this rooftop oasis is fresh out of the box for the 2021 season, and every detail has been meticulously thought out to transport guests to a casual backyard garden in the city.
As we took in the scenery, it was impossible not to feel charmed by the unique decor. The bar itself is made of stacked plastic milk crates, and climbing vines and hand-painted murals are found throughout the space. We were also thrilled to learn that the rooftop is weather-safe with its retractable glass roof, making it a year-round destination. However, the real showstopper was the impressive views over East Village and the lower Manhattan skyline when the roof was fully retracted.
But what really sets The Ready Rooftop Bar apart is its innovative menu. We enjoyed classic fresh and frozen cocktails and made-to-order tacos, but the highlight was the tableside coolers. It was such a fun and interactive way to mix and match canned beer, wine, and cocktails to our liking.
