Officina, the Italian-inspired rooftop oasis, perched above the Potomac, is a must-visit spot in The Warf. During our recent holiday trip, my friends and I decided to check out this stylish multi-level and multi-venue establishment. We were not disappointed in the least!
The top floor Terrazza, inspired by the rooftops in Rome, was the highlight of our visit. The lush and charming indoor/outdoor space, equipped with cozy fire-pits and heaters, offered amazing views over the Wharf and the river. It was created by Michelin-starred chef Nicholas Stefanelli, who stayed true to his “homeland” aperitivo culture. We indulged in a mouthwatering menu of crafted seasonal cocktails, an extensive selection of champagne, beer, and some small Italian bites. The drinks were definitely a highlight!
The Terrazza was beautiful in both sunlight and at night, and we could enjoy it all year round due to its opening year-round. The ambiance was perfect, and we felt as if we were transported to a chic Italian rooftop. The space on the Terrazza is generally first-come, first-served, but lounge and firepit seating can be booked, and we would recommend doing so. The adjacent private event space can also be reserved for those special occasions.
Overall, Officina offers a unique experience that encapsulates Italian charm and culture perfectly. Our group had a fantastic time, and we would recommend it to anyone visiting Washington, DC. It is the perfect place to unwind and relax with friends while enjoying some delicious drinks and bites.
