What to wear for 360º Rooftop Bar at Riu Plaza Espana in Madrid? Dress Code for men and women

I recently went on a Tinder date to the 360º Rooftop Bar, and it was absolutely breathtaking. The multi-level terrace, perched on the 27th floor of the recently renovated Hotel Riu Plaza España, offered panoramic views of the entire city. It was the perfect romantic setting, with the whole of Madrid and beyond at our feet.

The rooftop terrace was spacious and modern, with lots of comfy lounge sofas and tables to choose from. We opted for front-row bar seats, where we could order classic cocktails, wine, beers and coffee, as well as delicious bar bites. Our drinks were expertly mixed and served with a smile, and the overall atmosphere was sophisticated and posh.

What really set the 360º Rooftop Bar apart, however, was the spectacular glass walkway. It stretched between two wings of the building, providing a unique and unforgettable experience. Walking on air and above the city was both exhilarating and romantic, and made for a great Instagram-moment.

One floor below the Rooftop Bar, we discovered two more venues: the swanky sky bar / nightclub called 360º Sky Bar, and El Edén Gastrobar. The panoramic windows made sure that the views were amazing there as well, with the added benefit of being indoors.

Guests staying at Hotel Riu Plaza España can visit the sky bar, gastrobar, and rooftop bar for free, which is a great perk. However, even for outside visitors, the rooftop is well worth the fee: €5 from 11.00 to 17.00 and €10 from 17.00 to 00.00. The line to get in can be quite long during peak hours, but trust me when I say that the views alone are worth every penny.

As a final tip, booking a stay at the 5-star Hotel Riu Plaza España not only gives you free access to the rooftop and sky bar, but also to a fantastic rooftop pool on the 21st floor. The pool is open Friday and Saturday from 11.00 – 01.00, and the address is Calle del Maestro Guerrero, s/n, 28013 Madrid. I highly recommend making a reservation and enjoying the ultimate rooftop experience in Madrid.
