Kettner Exchange is the bougiest rooftop bar and restaurant in the Little Italy part of downton San Diego. The design and atmosphere of this place are great, making it the perfect spot for a fancy night out with your best friends. The venue boasts two levels of indoor/outdoor drinking and dining, and while the views are not the most panoramic, there are nice vistas to San Diego Bay to be found. Not to mention, the sound of airplanes flying over the terrace during the afternoon and early evenings adds to the ambiance.
Upon arriving at Kettner Exchange, my friends and I were greeted with friendly smiles and seated at our table right away. We all ordered different plates from the wide-range new American dishes menu and shared them all. Executive Chef Brian Redzikowski really knows how to prepare delicious food that is perfect to share.
The cocktail list is also impressive, with hand-crafted and creative creations that cater to all taste-buds. My friend Sarah ordered the “Rooftop Fizz” and she absolutely loved it. The drinks were definitely on the pricier side, but they were worth every penny.
The crowd and ambience at Kettner rooftop is beautiful, trendy, and fun. The mix of dining tables, lounge sofas, and the large size bar added to the atmosphere. We even saw private cabanas available for rent, which would be perfect for a more intimate night out. The live DJs also added to the energetic vibe.
