Last week, my girlfriend and I went to B&B Butcher’s, an upscale steakhouse with a stunning rooftop terrace and unobstructed views of the Houston skyline. We were accompanied by some of our closest friends, and we all had an exceptional time. The place is situated on the East End of Washington Ave, and it’s a perfect blend of traditional in-house butcher shop with an upscale steakhouse restaurant.
The rooftop terrace was one of the highlights of our experience. It’s not sky-high, but it offers unobstructed views of the Houston skyline, and the retractable roof makes it weather-safe. It’s a perfect place to enjoy lunch and dinner while admiring the city’s beautiful skyline. We also loved the fact that B&B Butcher’s is one of only nine US restaurants certified by the Kobe Beef Association in Japan. We indulged in the finest Texas and Japanese Wagyu beef, and the in-house 28-day and 55-day dry-aged USDA Prime beef was mouth-watering.
The rooftop bar was another highlight of our experience. They offer a fantastic selection of crafted (Texas-spirited) signature cocktails, cocktails on tap, a good selection of brews, and an impressive selection of wines. It’s safe to say that there was something for everyone.
My girlfriend and I were thrilled to know that B&B Butcher’s is not only a great venue for special-occasion dinners, but it’s also perfect for the vibrant Social Hour every Monday-Friday from 3-6 pm, with great deals on light bites and cocktails/beer/wines by the glass. On Sundays, they also offer a weekend brunch, complemented with live music on the terrace.
One of our friends pointed out that the opening hours on Fridays and Saturdays are from 11.00 – 23.00, which is perfect for a late-night dinner or drinks with friends. In conclusion, we had an exceptional experience at B&B Butcher’s, and we would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a sophisticated dining experience with unobstructed views of the Houston skyline.
