My friends and I recently visited Top of the Yard Rooftop Bar & Bites and we were blown away by the breathtaking views directly into Nationals Park. We couldn’t believe how exclusive and relaxing the atmosphere was. It’s the perfect spot to enjoy a cold beer and delicious ballpark-inspired meals while taking in panoramic views of the Capitol Riverfront and National Airport planes flying by.
The rooftop bar boasts comfy lounge sofas, cool decor, and some greenery, adding to the already amazing ambiance. One of my friends particularly loved how the menu offered classic ballpark favorites such as hot-dogs, burgers & pretzels, and baseball-themed cocktails. Another friend recommended we should try the bucket of cold brews.
We were thrilled to learn that Top of the Yard is open daily late afternoons for anyone looking to enjoy some relaxing drinks, bites and views. On game days, the rooftop opens 2 hours prior to game start making it the perfect spot to pregame before heading to the game. We were also impressed by the Friday and Saturday opening hours from 16.00 – 23.00, which means we could make it a night out with friends while enjoying the atmosphere.
Overall, we had a fantastic time at Top of the Yard and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a rooftop bar and eatery in the Ballpark District. The unique selling point of the views directly into Nationals Park, coupled with the comfortable atmosphere and delicious menu, make it an all-around great spot for a night out.
