What to wear for Azul Rooftop Bar in New York? Dress Code for men and women

My boyfriend and I had the pleasure of visiting Azul Rooftop, a Cuban-inspired rooftop bar at Hotel Hugo, during our recent business trip to NYC. From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the colorful and urban-chic terrace that offered magnificent 360-degree views of Lower Manhattan, including both the Freedom Tower and the Statue of Liberty. The extra fantastic view around the golden sunset hour had us both in awe.

Equipped with both comfy lounge sofas and lots of bar spots, Azul On The Rooftop is the perfect spot for relaxing and refreshing sunny cocktails, and also for night time fun. We appreciated that weekdays had a softer lounge vibe, which was perfect for unwinding after a long day of meetings. On weekends, the atmosphere was lively with a larger crowd and live DJs setting the tone.

While Azul Rooftop Bar is a seasonal destination, one floor below we discovered Bar Hugo Rooftop, which is open and available year-round. The opening hours on Fridays and Saturdays from 15.00 – 00.00 made it the ideal spot for a pre-dinner drink or a nightcap. The drinks were well-crafted and delicious, and the Cuban-inspired music transported us to a different time and place.

Overall, we highly recommend Azul Rooftop to anyone looking for a sophisticated and posh rooftop bar experience in NYC. The views, drinks, and music were exceptional, and we can’t wait to visit again on our next trip to the city. Truly a hidden gem in the heart of Manhattan!
