I had the pleasure of visiting SomePlace Else, a trendy rooftop bar located on the 8th floor of the Radisson Blu Hotel in Dubai Media City, with my Tinder date. The ambiance of the place is simply breathtaking, with neon light signs, foliage hanging from the ceiling, and a sleek overall setting. The bar offers fantastic views of the Dubai Marina, the Palm Jumeirah, and the Arabian Gulf – making it the ideal spot for a romantic evening.

As for the drinks and food, SomePlace Else does not disappoint. We tried their signature cocktails which were creative and tasty, and we also indulged in some of their bites and sharing plates, such as the Beef Sliders and Pulled Tacos – which we highly recommend! The festive yet chill vibe of the venue made for the perfect after work spot, and we enjoyed listening to the live music and DJs that raised the temperature from Wednesday to Sunday.

Despite the hot summer weather, the rooftop tent and plenty of A/C towers kept the venue nice and chilled. And for those looking for a complete relaxed experience, the rooftop terrace also features a lovely rooftop pool – which we unfortunately didn’t have access to.

Overall, SomePlace Else is a fantastic spot to visit with your significant other or to catch up with friends. Its location in the heart of Dubai Media City makes it easily accessible, and its opening hours on Fridays and Saturdays from 12.00 – 02.00 mean that you can enjoy a night out without the worry of having to rush home. We will definitely be back soon!
