My date and I recently visited Roof 28 for a rooftop oasis experience and were completely blown away. Perched atop The Reef 28 Hotel in the heart of Playa del Carmen, we were greeted with an incredible view of the ocean that just added to the luxurious atmosphere. The rooftop infinity pool and jacuzzis were the perfect way to indulge in the tropical setting while we sipped on some of the most delicious cocktails we’ve ever had.
The menu at Roof 28 is simply exquisite with a fine selection of signature cocktails and mocktails, and an impressive range of premium spirits and champagne available by the glass or bottle. We decided to try the international dishes, and were impressed with the quality of the food. Our favorite dishes were the salads and tacos – they were fresh, flavorful, and perfectly presented.
What we loved about Roof 28 was that it was free for hotel guests, but also open to non-guests with a minimum spend of $400 MXN Monday to Thursday and $600 MXN from Friday to Sunday. The opening hours on Fridays and Saturdays are from 11.00 – 23.00, making it the perfect destination for a romantic date night or a night out with friends.
Overall, our experience at Roof 28 was nothing short of exceptional. The stunning views, luxurious atmosphere, and delicious food and drinks made for the perfect evening. We highly recommend this rooftop oasis for anyone looking for a sophisticated and chic way to experience Playa del Carmen.
