Last week, my girlfriend and I had the pleasure of visiting The Char Bar & Grill, located riverside at Shanghai on the Bund. We were delighted to bring along some of our best friends to experience the incredible multi-level rooftop with us.

Upon arriving, we were immediately struck by the stunning views of the Huangpu river and the Pudong skyline as we ascended to the CHAR Rooftop. The unobstructed 270-degree view was truly breathtaking, and we couldn’t wait to try the signature grilled steaks and creative cocktails.

My girlfriend and I shared a delicious steak, which was a perfect combination of modern fusion and old classics. My girlfriend was especially impressed with the quality of the meat and the flavors of the steak. Our friends also ordered steaks, and everyone was thoroughly satisfied with their meals.

After dinner, we headed up to the rooftop bar where we were delighted to find a wide selection of creative cocktails and a distinctive wine list. Our friends raved about the cocktails and wine, and we all agreed that the bartenders were knowledgeable and attentive.

The terrace itself had a simple decor, but we didn’t mind since almost all the bar stools and tables were right at the railing. This meant that we had front-row seats to the incredible views of the river and skyline. The only downside was that the rooftop bar was quite popular, so we had to get there early in order to secure a good seat. Our friends recommended arriving at least an hour before sunset to get the best spot.

Overall, we had an incredible experience at The Char Bar & Grill. The rooftop views were unparalleled, the food was outstanding, and the cocktails were creative and delicious. We would highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for a sophisticated and fun night out in Shanghai.
