My boyfriend and I recently enjoyed a fabulous weekend getaway at the Yoo2 Rio de Janeiro by Intercity hotel. The contemporary and chic vibe of the hotel was matched perfectly by the stylish rooftop pool lounge and bar, aptly named The Rooftop. The rooftop bar provided breathtaking views of Sugar Loaf Mountain and the Jesus statue, as well as a stunning view of the bay where all the boats were docked.

The interior of The Rooftop was modern and elegant, with comfortable lounge sofas and trendy high stools. The bar was beautiful and well-stocked with a large selection of cocktails. Roger Bastos, the hotel’s mixologist, concocted specialty cocktails that were unique and delicious. My boyfriend was especially impressed with the classic G&T selection, and the sake and capivodkas were also to die for. We also enjoyed some delectable bar bites, which were the perfect accompaniment to our drinks.

What sets the Yoo2 rooftop bar apart from other rooftop bars in Rio de Janeiro is its refreshing pool, which we made sure to take a dip in. The pool provided a cool and relaxing respite from the heat and was the perfect complement to the sociable party atmosphere of the rooftop bar. As guests of the hotel, we could easily switch between lounging in the pool and enjoying a refreshing cocktail at the bar.
