As soon as I arrived at Los Patios Hostel, I was mesmerized by the vibrant and cozy ambiance that surrounded me. The hostel boasts not one, but two of the best rooftop bars in Medellín, and my Tinder date and I visited both Ziruma Tiki Bar and El Bar. While Ziruma Tiki Bar embraced the whole tiki style, El Bar had a cosmopolitan feel to it. Nonetheless, both bars offered a comfy setting, friendly service, an unpretentious and vibrant atmosphere along with breathtaking 360° views over Medellín.
The rooftop setting was indeed the perfect spot for adventurers and the young at heart, like us. During the day, we enjoyed refreshing swims in the rooftop pool, delicious drinks, and flavorful dishes from bowls to tacos and burgers. We also got to watch sports on a giant screen and just chill out at the hammocks deck. The bar then started its service at 3.30 p.m., and we were excited to indulge in plenty of exotic fruit cocktails, along with classics, spirits, and craft beers.
What we loved the most about Los Patios Hostel was the variety of vibes and great parties offered, including DJ sets, BBQs, and sunset events. We experienced everything from a smooth afternoon get together to a buzzing, energetic night.
