SILO Rooftop Bar, Events and Gallery is an absolute must-visit! It’s conveniently located between Zurich and Winterthur in the historical industrial site of Kemptthal. This unique venue is perfect for any special occasion or just to chill with friends. My best friends and I recently visited SILO and were blown away by the beautiful fusion of modern design and historical industrial architecture. The interior designer and architect Rainer Quenzer did an amazing job.
The dual set of lovely rooftop terraces is what makes SILO so special. The 5th floor SILO Event Terrace is perfect for hosting any private or business event for up to 200 guests, while the 7th floor SILO Bar Terrace can accommodate up to 50 persons. We loved the comfy lounge sofas, bar stools, greenery, and awnings. The views over the old Maggi area and surrounding countryside were simply breathtaking.
The indoor lounge and bar area are equally impressive. The stylish ambience is perfect for hosting any kind of event from aperitif or team dinner to a rooftop birthday party or vernissage till a wedding party. Every Thursday, the rooftop bar and terrace is also available to the public. We visited the ‘After Work Lounge’ from 5pm and enjoyed the best fondue from the region. It was delicious! We recommend trying it out.
