LE TAVERNIER rooftop is a hidden gem in the heart of Madrid that my best friends and I recently had the pleasure to discover. As soon as we arrived, we were struck by the multi-space oasis that was inspired by the many ports and taverns a sailor experiences during a life at sea, and we were immediately transported to another world.
The rooftop oasis, which is located on the 8th floor of the stunning INNSIDE by Meliá Madrid Gran Vía, is more than 400 square metres and divided into different microspaces. We enjoyed the large bar, a stage for events, a tasting area, and high tables that were all surrounded by panoramic views over Madrid. We were absolutely wowed by the breathtaking scenery and the rooftop’s modern and casual atmosphere.
LE TAVERNIER served a generous menu that would make any taverna jealous. We were thrilled with the large selection of both crafted signature and classic cocktails, plenty of beers and spirits, as well as tapas dishes to share and burgers from the grill. We all agreed that the menu was top-notch and we appreciated the different varieties that were offered.
My best friends and I highly recommend LE TAVERNIER rooftop for anyone who wants to have some fun high above Madrid. The lush rooftop is designed for friends, both old and new, to come together and have a great time. If you’re looking for a more private experience, we suggest checking out the Secret Room, a private space for 18 people. The opening hours on Fridays and Saturdays are from 16.00 – 00.00, and the rooftop’s address is Calle de Mesonero Romanos, 13, 28004 Madrid.
Overall, LE TAVERNIER has quickly become one of our favorite places in Madrid. The rooftop bar’s perfect blend of casual, contemporary, and vibrant atmosphere, combined with its panoramic views and delicious menu, make it a must-visit destination for anyone looking for a truly unique experience.
