What could be better than enjoying a drink with your best friends at a chic and open-air poolside rooftop bar, while overlooking the ocean? That’s exactly what we did at Off-Side, the rooftop bar perched on top of the Pestana CR7 Funchal hotel, and we couldn’t have had a better time.

As soon as we arrived, we were impressed by the urban and modern design of the bar, which mixes perfectly with the world-class style of the legendary soccer player, Cristiano Ronaldo, whose museum is also located on the rooftop. Being a huge fan of CR7, I couldn’t have asked for a better setting to enjoy a drink with my friends.

The wooden decked terrace, which is bright and spacious, offers stunning views over the ocean and the Marina Funchal, making it the perfect spot to watch the sunset. The selection of drinks is extensive, ranging from classic cocktails to signature mixology drinks, and even sangria and wine, which can all be served in jugs to share. My friends and I enjoyed sipping on some of their signature cocktails, which were incredibly refreshing and delicious.

If you’re feeling peckish, make sure to visit the CR7 Corner on the floor below, where you’ll find a stylish bar, restaurant, and club, offering fancy and affordable food, such as healthy salads, hamburgers, and wood-fired pizza.

But, the highlight of the rooftop is the fantastic red infinity pool, which is exclusively for guests staying at the hotel. We spent hours lounging on the comfy sunbeds, soaking up the sun, and enjoying the stunning views of the ocean. It was the perfect way to unwind and relax after a long day of exploring the city.

Overall, Off-Side at Pestana CR7 Funchal is a must-visit rooftop bar, perfect for anyone looking for a chic and stylish setting, delicious drinks, and breathtaking views of the ocean. We had a fabulous time and can’t wait to return!
