My girlfriend and I recently visited Pergola Paddington, a stunning alfresco garden and rooftop with two levels of hidden gardens, alfresco drinking and dining, bookable daybeds, and DJs. As we arrived, we were greeted by the hustle and bustle of this vibrant space, which has a capacity for up to 850 guests.

We started by exploring the ground floor, which has four restaurants and picnic-style benches. The food is served market-style, and you can order from one of four counters or your mobile phone. We tried the Tacos, Ceviche, and Mexican-inspired burgers, which were all delicious. The drinks work in the same way, and we had a great time choosing from the extensive selection of beer, wine, sparkles, seasonal and classic cocktails.

However, the highlight of our visit was definitely the rooftop terrace. We climbed up to find a natural and smooth yet urban and sophisticated décor that was truly beautiful. We sat on regular seating at first, but then we saw the seven giant daybeds with a capacity for up to 15 people. We decided to splurge and book one, enjoying the luxurious experience of lounging in the sun while sipping on our cocktails.

The atmosphere up there was lively and fun, with people moving around to grab more drinks and food. During the weekends, live DJs visit to set the tone one level higher, creating an unforgettable party vibe. My girlfriend loved the energy of the place, and we both agreed that it was one of the most Instagramable spots in Paddington.

Overall, Pergola Paddington exceeded our expectations, and we highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fun and unique rooftop experience. We are already planning our next visit, and we can’t wait to come back and try the new Pergola Paraíso, a Tulum-inspired beach club opening on April 28th, 2022.
