My boyfriend and I recently escaped to Lisbon for a weekend getaway and we were absolutely blown away by the Upscale Bar at Epic Sana Hotel. The rooftop bar is a true oasis in the heart of the city, boasting panoramic views of the Tagus River, Lisbon’s rooftops, and the stunning skyline. We were in awe of the beauty and power of the view from this rooftop bar.
The highlight of the Epic Sana terrace is undoubtedly the 9th floor luxurious infinity rooftop pool and the accompanying sun loungers. Unfortunately, the pool is exclusive to hotel guests, but we were pleasantly surprised to find that the Upscale Bar, located one floor down, is open to everyone daily between May and September.
The extensive selection of drinks at the Upscale Bar was impressive, with signature cocktails like the Upscale Colada and a wide range of premium gin. The menu also featured a good selection of food, including the famous club sandwich, a variety of canapes and tapas, crunchy snacks, and salads.
Although the prices were quite high, the stylish terrace and cosmopolitan atmosphere more than made up for it. The service was also exceptional, with attentive staff making sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our experience.
My boyfriend was particularly impressed with the rooftop bar, and couldn’t stop raving about the breathtaking view from the top. He also mentioned how comfortable the sun loungers were and how perfect the pool was for a refreshing dip on a hot summer day.
If you have the chance, we highly recommend booking a stay at the 5-star EPIC SANA Lisboa Hotel to take advantage of not only the amazing infinity rooftop pool but also another indoor pool. The Upscale Bar is open on Fridays and Saturdays from 09.00 – 20.00 and is located at Av. Eng. Duarte Pacheco 15, 1070-100 Lisbon. Overall, we had an incredible experience at the Upscale Bar and can’t wait to return.
