My best friends and I recently visited the Fisherman’s Bastion in Budapest, and I have to say, the historic vibes and breathtaking views were absolutely stunning. The classic local food was amazing, and the beautiful castle setting added to the overall experience. Above the restaurant, we found the Margaret Terrace, which stretched over a long part of the castle and directly faced the magnificent views over the river and the city.

During the summer, the terrace was open for refreshing cocktails, beers, and wine, but it was also open and heated during the colder months, offering more warming beverages. It was the perfect setting for a special and romantic dinner, and of course, a great place for some relaxation and drinks during a more touristic visit. Just remember that it is a highly popular place, and reservations, especially for the restaurant, are highly recommended.

My friends and I all agreed that the Fisherman’s Bastion rooftop bar and restaurant was a top pick among the best rooftop bars in Budapest. We loved the historic vibes and breathtaking views, and we would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Budapest.
