Last week, my girlfriend and I went to The Light Brigade rooftop bar in Sydney with a group of our closest friends. From the moment we stepped into the four level iconic Woollahra Paddington pub, we knew we were in for a treat. The leafy rooftop terrace up top was the cherry on top, offering us a breathtaking view of the Sydney skyline from an altitude of 83 meters above sea level.

The ground floor Brigade Bar was the perfect spot for us to watch live sports while munching on some pub classics. Meanwhile, the second floor Brigade Bistro offered us a casual dining experience, and the Brigade Lounge on the floor above had a chic and sophisticated 1920’s Art Deco feel to it. However, the real highlight of our experience was the large and open-air Brigade Rooftop.

Furnished with stylish lounge furniture, dining tables and greenery, the rooftop bar had a food menu consisting of The Light Brigade’s signature wood-fire pizzas, burgers, mains and sharable bites. My girlfriend and I were particularly impressed with the drink menu, which had a selection of well-known cocktails, beers on tap and bottle and some wines.

Our friends were just as impressed with the light and airy feel of the rooftop bar. They praised the venue’s opening hours – from noon to midnight – which allowed us to have a very relaxing and (hopefully) sunny al-fresco drinks and bites with a lovely view over the city skyline. One of our friends even recommended The Light Brigade rooftop bar as one of the best rooftop bars in Sydney.

The venue’s four different settings over four floors catered to our every need, and the leafy rooftop terrace was undoubtedly the standout.
