My friends and I visited The Sunset Room at the KEX Hotel and Hostel in Portland, and we were blown away by the elevated summer destination for experimental cocktails and cool views. The boutique hotel and hostel expanded upwards in 2020, welcoming guests to the 4th floor rooftop bar, which started as Lady of the Mountain but has since transformed into The Sunset Room.
As we stepped onto the trendy terrace, we immediately felt the intimate and secluded atmosphere, which was perfect for a night out with the girls. Although there weren’t any panoramic views, we still enjoyed the cool vistas over the city and surrounding buildings, which were made even better by the summer breeze.
The cocktails at The Sunset Room were the highlight of our night. We indulged in whimsical and experimental drinks, boozy slushies, chilled wines, and bottled beer. The drinks were definitely on the pricier side, but they were worth every penny for the unique and delicious flavor combinations.
The bites from the downstairs Pacific Standard were also a great addition to our night out. We loved trying out different snacks and sharing plates, which added to the relaxed and playful setting and atmosphere of The Sunset Room.
