The Rooftop by STK, located on the 7th floor at the stunning Andaz San Diego hotel, is a spacious and trendy rooftop bar with a pool and an unmatched 360-degree view of the San Diego skyline, all the way to the ocean and landmarks like the Coronado Bridge. My best friends and I recently visited this rooftop, and we were blown away by the experience.
First of all, the rooftop bar and restaurant offer a range of creative SoCal twists on American fare, from breakfast/brunch and onwards. Their signature cocktails (by glass or in pitcher), local beers on draft, wines, and bottle service are perfect to enjoy while taking in the stunning views. The only downside is that it is a bit on the pricey side. However, we found that the beautiful and modern setting, where you can spend long and lounging hours, either by the dining tables or in any of the comfy lounge areas, more than made up for it.
The Rooftop by STK is perfect for relaxing and sunny lunches or drinks at sunset. However, we highly recommend visiting on weekend nights when it transforms into a high-energy, chic nightclub with live DJs. Additionally, the fully retractable roof and walls mean that we could visit whatever the weather.
One of the highlights of the Andaz San Diego terrace is undoubtedly its pool lounge. Featuring an amazing rooftop swimming pool, cabanas, and sun loungers, it is probably the best rooftop pool San Diego has to offer. Although mainly available to hotel guests, we were able to rent one of the private cabanas as outside-guests. The opening hours on Fridays and Saturdays are from 07.00 – 23.00, and its address is Andaz San Diego, 600 F St, San Diego, CA 92101.
