My girlfriend and I recently had the pleasure of visiting the Terrasse sur L’Auberge. The restaurant and bar boasts two panoramic views that are absolutely breathtaking. Perched on top of l’Auberge du Vieux-Port, it’s the perfect location to take in the historical and diverse views of Montreal. In one direction, you can enjoy the sights of the Old Port and St. Lawrence River, and in the other, St. Paul Street.

We soaked up the beautiful views while sipping on the most delicious Sangria we’ve ever tasted. The selection of Sangria is extensive, with red, white, melon, and bubbly options available in both glasses and pitchers. We also enjoyed a few of the delicious cocktails on offer, and of course, we couldn’t resist ordering some bubbles.

The food options were superb, with the seafood platter being our favorite dish to share. The summer classics were updated and very tasty. The classic bistro-style tables and chairs on the terrace were comfortable, and we found the atmosphere and service to be top-notch. We particularly enjoyed the mix of people enjoying the open-air breeze while listening to the live DJ filling the terrace with fantastic music.

The Terrasse sur L’Auberge is a must-visit spot during the warmer months, as it’s the perfect spot to catch a sunset, watch the beautiful lighting of Jacques-Cartier Bridge, or enjoy the International Fireworks Competition in July-August. However, it’s worth noting that the terrace is not huge and works on a first-come, first-served basis, so it’s best to arrive early to secure a table. On Fridays and Saturdays, it’s open from 15.00 – 23.00.

Overall, our experience at the Terrasse sur L’Auberge was exceptional. We recommend it to anyone who’s looking for a sophisticated and posh spot to take in the scenic views of Montreal with a great selection of cocktails and delicious food. It’s definitely the best rooftop bar Montreal has to offer!
