My friends and I visited Streeterville Social during our holiday trip to Chicago and we were impressed with the spacious rooftop bar and lounge that serves neighborhood eats and crafty cocktails while offering stunning city views. Located on the third floor of the Loews Chicago Hotel, this stylish rooftop bar is one of the largest al fresco terraces in Chicago, with plenty of dining tables and comfy loungers, perfect for relaxing and enjoying the majestic views over the downtown skyscrapers.

The rooftop menu is filled with both American gourmet grub and crafty cocktails. We indulged in everything from Social Wings, Spicy Tuna Tacos, Grilled Beef Short Rib, and Social Burger, which were all delicious. The signature and frozen cocktails, as well as a good selection of beer and wine, were also top-notch.

Streeterville Social is open during the warmer season and packed with summer vibes, making it a perfect spot for daytime dazing, after-work affairs, happier happy hours, late-night lounging, weekend brunch, and al fresco dining any time. However, do note that since the rooftop is 100% outdoors, it might have to close if inclement weather is predicted.

We also found out that Streeterville Social has two spaces – The Bistro, which is the restaurant and bar open to the public, and The Event Terrace, which is a unique outdoor space available only for private events (for up to 600 guests). Overall, my friends and I highly recommend Streeterville Social for a hot and elevated downtown experience. The setting and size of the rooftop bar, combined with the delicious food and drinks, and breathtaking city views, make it a perfect spot for a memorable night out.
