Offshore Rooftop & Bar is an exceptional venue located on the third floor of the iconic Navy Pier. Boasting panoramic views of the Chicago skyline and Lake Michigan, this rooftop bar is a must-visit for anyone seeking an unforgettable dining and drinking experience.

My friends and I visited Offshore during our holiday trip, and we were blown away by the sheer size of the venue. Within a month of its premiere, it was branded as ‘the world’s largest rooftop bar’ by Guinness World Records, and it’s not hard to see why. With a 36,000 sq. ft. glassed indoor lounge (with a fully retractable roof), leading out to a 20,000 sq. ft. terrace, it’s an all-seasons / all-weather venue, making it perfect for any occasion.

The highlight of our visit was undoubtedly the food. Executive Chef Michael Shrader has created a menu of small plates of seasonal and contemporary American fare that is simply divine. We were particularly impressed with the quality and freshness of the ingredients, as well as the presentation of each dish.

The drinks menu, created by Beverage Director Clay Livingston, is equally impressive. The selection of creative and updated classic cocktails, as well as wines, bubbles, and crafted beers, is sure to impress even the most discerning of drinkers.

In terms of ambiance, Offshore Rooftop & Bar is the perfect spot for a sunny lunch or brunch while exploring the area around Navy Pier. During night time, the venue is +21, starting 9pm, making it perfect for a more sophisticated dinner and cocktails with a view. The venue offers two private lawns, seven fire pits, and even an entertainment and gaming area to keep guests entertained.

Overall, we had an amazing experience at Offshore Rooftop & Bar. The venue is truly one-of-a-kind and should be on everyone’s must-visit list when in Chicago.
