Last week, my girlfriend and I had the pleasure of visiting Maui Brewing Company, located in the heart of Waikiki. Accompanied by some of our closest friends, we were eager to soak up the Hawaiian sun and enjoy some locally brewed craft beers.

Upon arriving, we were immediately impressed by the expansive open-air interior of the rooftop bar and restaurant, perched on the 5th floor of the Waikiki Beachcomber by Outrigger hotel. The rustic-chic setting and cool views over the main strip of Waikiki made for an unforgettable atmosphere.

The main attraction of the rooftop menu was undoubtedly the wide selection of brews, with a whopping 36 craft and specialty beers on tap, including Maui Brewing year-round and special releases, as well as comrade crafts from independent craft breweries. My girlfriend and I were also delighted to find that the rooftop served crafted cocktails, wine on tap, and an extensive menu of artisanal and natural island-inspired cuisine. We recommend trying the poke bowl and fish tacos, both of which were fantastic.

Our friends were equally impressed by the rooftop’s fun, relaxing, and friendly atmosphere. With daily live music, Maui Brewing Company is a great spot for a sunny lunch, a vibrant night, or some fine brews just about anytime. Happy hour from 3.30-4.30pm on weekdays is an added bonus, where selected food and drinks are discounted.

One highlight of our stay at the Waikiki Beachcomber by Outrigger was also the beautiful rooftop pool deck, included for guests staying at the hotel. We highly recommend taking a dip while enjoying the stunning views of Waikiki.
