LH Rooftop, located on top of the stunning Hilton hotel LondonHouse Chicago, is an absolute gem of a tri-level rooftop bar. The multi-level setting starts with the indoor lounge, called LH on 21, followed by the main and largest terrace, LH on 22, that boasts of being one of the best rooftop bars Chicago has to offer. The breathtaking panoramic views of the city from the terrace are unparalleled, with an absolutely superb view among the city’s skyscrapers and out towards Lake Michigan and the Chicago River, making it a mesmerizing sight.

My friends and I were completely awe-struck by the luxurious and modern furnishings of the terrace, with plenty of comfortable lounge furnitures and bar stools. The food menu at the rooftop bar was an absolute delight, with everything from American tapas to burgers, and the rooftop brunch menu every weekend (11am-2.30pm) was certainly the highlight of our trip.

The atmosphere up at the London House rooftop was vibrant and fun, with a trendy crowd gathering for Afternoon Tea, brunch, after-work cocktails or weekend festivities. We were delighted to find out that the rooftop bar was one of the most popular spots in the city, and we highly recommend making reservations in advance to avoid any disappointments.

One of my friends was absolutely smitten with the smaller space on the 23rd floor, called Cupola, where you can book private dining in a luxurious setting. She couldn’t stop raving about how it was one of the best rooftop restaurants in Chicago, and we couldn’t help but agree with her.

The fine selection of LH signature and classic cocktails, as well as a large array of crafted beer and wine, only added to the experience, and we found ourselves lost in the moment. We did make a mental note to bring sunscreen for the hot summer days, as the terrace is a real sun trap, and we didn’t want to get a sunburn.
