My friends and I absolutely loved this classic and lovely lounge spot, which is located on the 9th floor of the fabulous Hotel Indigo in the Gaslamp Quarter of downtown San Diego.

The wooden decked rooftop is mostly open-air and very charming, with a mix of classic lounge sofas, bar stools, cosy fire-pits, and a cool looking outside bar. The atmosphere is sophisticated and softly vibrant, making it a great spot for pre-dinner cocktails or just a nice outing with some friends or your loved one. Plus, the fact that it’s open nightly gives you the flexibility to visit whenever you want.

One of the highlights of Level 9 Rooftop Bar is its signature cocktails. My friend, who is a cocktail connoisseur, was really impressed with the imaginative and delicious cocktails on offer. If you’re into beer, you’ll also find a good selection of crafted brews on tap and more regular ones in bottle.

As for the food, we highly recommend trying the Chicken Tenders and The Gaslamp Burger, which were both absolutely scrumptious. The portions were just right, and the presentation was on point.

We also appreciated that the rooftop bar was not over-crowded, despite its moderate size. However, we do advise being in good time if you want to snag one of the lounge sofas. The opening hours on Fridays and Saturdays are from 17.00 – 22.00.

Overall, Level 9 Rooftop Bar San Diego is a fantastic place to spend an evening with good company, great drinks, and stunning views. We cannot wait to come back and experience it all over again. Highly recommended!
