Last week, my girlfriend and I had the pleasure of experiencing Hemingway’s Restaurant & Bar’s rooftop patio with some of our closest friends. The decor was simple, with classic chairs and tables on four different patios, inspired by the vibe and ambiance of New Zealand. Although we didn’t get to enjoy any panoramic views, the relaxed and friendly atmosphere more than made up for it. The live music was a bonus, and we all found ourselves tapping our feet to the beat.

We were also pleasantly surprised by the extensive drink menu, boasting 24 draught beers on tap, which we indulged in while enjoying large portions of fresh pub-grub. It was the perfect setting for a sunny lunch or weekend brunch, and we could definitely see ourselves coming back for late night drinks and vibes with friends. The presence of multiple TV’s made it a great option for catching sports events too.

One of the highlights of our visit was discovering that Hemingway’s is also home to ‘Themed Trivia Nights’ and ‘Silent Disco Nights’ – which made it an even more happening place, 365 days a year. We felt that the opening hours on Fridays and Saturdays (10.00 – 02.00) were perfect for a night out that could last until the early hours of the morning.

My girlfriend loved the casual, laid-back vibe of Hemingway’s and thought the food was delicious, fresh, and hearty. Our friends were impressed by the extensive drinks menu and the live music, and we all agreed that the overall atmosphere was perfect for a fun and relaxed night out. We would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a great time with friends.
