My best friends and I recently visited Hemingway’s Cuba in downtown Asheville and we were blown away by the incredible views and delicious cuisine. The rooftop bar is located on the fourth floor of the Cambria Hotel and offers a large and stylish indoor lounge, as well as a spacious outdoor terrace. From either vantage point, guests can enjoy stunning views of Asheville and the Blue Ridge Mountains.

The Cuban influence is palpable at Hemingway’s Cuba, with traditional Cuban dishes like paella and classic sandwiches on the menu. However, there are also plenty of local beers and wines available for those who want to try something different. We were particularly impressed with the “Best Daiquiri in the World” – an absolute must-try for anyone visiting this rooftop bar.

One of the highlights of our visit was sitting by the terrace fire pits, soaking in the atmosphere and enjoying the stunning views. We felt like we were transported to Havana, thanks to the efforts of Havana native Tony Fraga who founded Hemingway’s Cuba. In fact, Fraga grew up enjoying meals at La Floridita, a Havana favourite of Ernest Hemingway, and has brought a slice of Havana to Asheville.

We highly recommend Hemingway’s Cuba for anyone looking for a bougie night out or a fancy brunch on the weekends. The restaurant is open for breakfast, dinner, and weekend brunch, and the hours on Fridays and Saturdays are from 07:00 – 14:00, 16:30 – 22:00.
