My sister and I recently visited Gallery Rooftop Lounge at Canvas Hotel Dallas and we were absolutely blown away by the stunning views of the Dallas skyline. This modern rooftop pool lounge was formerly known as SODA rooftop bar and was rebranded in 2019. Located in the Cedars area, just south of downtown Dallas, the rooftop terrace on the 6th floor boasts magical panoramic vistas of the city skyline and surrounding areas.
The star of the show is definitely the heated rooftop infinity pool. Although usually only available for hotel guests, there are occasional rooftop pool parties that everyone can attend. We unfortunately missed out on one, but we still had an amazing time sipping refreshing art-inspired cocktails and enjoying smaller bites to share.
The festive and chic atmosphere of the Gallery rooftop bar was truly impressive, with a luxurious and modern interior both at the inside lounge and on the terrace. As much as we loved the poolside experience, the only downside was the use of plastic cups.
We visited on a weekday and enjoyed a very relaxing lounge vibe, but we have heard that the weekend nights can get quite crowded and vibrant. We also made sure to keep an eye out for the Sunday rooftop brunch, which is available every now and then.
The opening hours on Fridays and Saturdays are from 13.00 – 02.00 and its address is 1325 S. Lamar St., Dallas, TX, 75215. I highly recommend a visit to the Gallery Rooftop Lounge at Canvas Hotel Dallas as it is definitely one of the best rooftop bars Dallas has to offer.
