If you’re looking for a classic Irish pub experience in downtown Atlanta, then Fado Buckhead Atlanta is the place to be. My sister and I recently visited this three-story high gem and were thrilled with the extensive beer selection and the outdoor rooftop patio bar.
The rooftop patio at Fado is an absolute highlight with stone walls and large wall paintings that create an Irish landscape feel. It was a lovely place to hangout with my sister while enjoying a drink and watching live sports. Speaking of sports, Fado’s Buckhead location is a go-to spot for locals and tourists alike to catch the English Premier League, rugby, NFL, and other sports. And it’s not just sports, you can also enjoy live music and DJs on some nights.
The menu at Fado is gastro-style Irish pub favorites, brunch every weekend, and internationally flavored dishes inspired by Dublin’s best pubs. The drink menu is extensive and varied, with plenty of beers and a great selection of cocktails and wines. My sister loved the Guinness and I enjoyed the Irish coffee.
The atmosphere at Fado is always lively and fun. It can get a bit loud, especially during peak hours but it only adds to the charm of the place. If you plan to visit, make sure to get there early as the rooftop terrace fills up quickly. The pub is open from 10.00 – 01.00 on Fridays and Saturdays and is located at 273 Buckhead Ave., Atlanta, GA 30305.
All in all, Fado Buckhead Atlanta was a great experience. I’d highly recommend it to anyone looking for an authentic Irish pub and rooftop bar experience in Atlanta. It’s definitely worth a visit!
