Last week, my girlfriend and I, along with some of our closest friends, had the pleasure of visiting Brixton, a magnificent British Pub, restaurant and rooftop beer garden, located in the U-Street area of Washington DC. The cherry on top of this multi-level venue was undoubtedly its open-air roof deck, which offered us a memorable and enjoyable experience.
Upon arriving at Brixton, we were struck by the simple yet elegant décor of the rooftop area. The spacious terrace was equipped with a variety of bar stools and tables, offering ample space for everyone. While the views over the rooftops in Washington DC were not breathtaking, the ambience was undeniably fun and lively. It was the perfect spot for sunny and relaxing drinks, and we made the most of it.
As we settled down and looked at the menu, we were delighted to find that the Brixton rooftop bar offered draught beer from rotating taps, some exciting beer cocktails, and classic pub fare and bar snacks. Every day of the week was Happy Hour, which meant we could enjoy our al fresco vibes with great deals on food and drinks. It was an offer that was too good to resist.
My girlfriend and I were particularly impressed with the rooftop bar’s heating and partial covering, which made it a year-round destination. It was perfect for fun after-work drinks on weekdays, and on weekend nights, live DJs picked up the party atmosphere even further. On Sunday nights, anyone was welcome to try out in the DC Jazz Jam. The opening hours on Fridays and Saturdays were from 14.00 – 02.00, making it an excellent spot to spend the weekend.
My girlfriend commented on how much she enjoyed the simple yet beautiful décor of the rooftop terrace. She also praised the friendly and professional staff, who were always on hand to offer helpful suggestions and make us feel welcome. Our friends agreed, adding that the exciting beer cocktails and classic pub fare were definitely the highlights of the menu.
Overall, we had an amazing time at Brixton. The rooftop bar exceeded our expectations and left us with unforgettable memories. We would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a sophisticated and fun place to unwind and enjoy some drinks with friends.
