My best friends and I recently visited Braise, a charming farm to table restaurant located in Harbor View that also happens to be a culinary school. We were blown away by the unique rooftop terrace that the restaurant boasts. The wood- and garden-inspired setting is simple yet very natural, and it fits perfectly with the local, farmer and community supported restaurant.
During the warmer months, the rooftop is in full swing, and it’s the perfect spot to enjoy some great quality food and refreshing cocktails. However, the real highlight for us were the cosy rooftop greenhouses that can be reserved for private dining experiences year-round. Equipped with heaters and an electrical fireplace during winter and air conditioning during summer, we couldn’t think of a better place to spend a chilly evening with friends.
The menu at Braise changes daily, and it’s all about slow-grown, natural food made from local ingredients. We were blown away by the quality of the dishes, and the fact that the cocktail menu is just as unique as the food was a real treat for us. We also appreciated that the beers were all sourced locally.
Overall, Braise is the perfect spot for a special night out with a loved one or some friends. The restaurant, bar, and rooftop terrace offer different atmospheres, but all are equally inviting. We also learned that Braise offers cooking classes for those who want to learn more about the craft of cooking, which is definitely something we’ll be checking out in the future.
