The historical building opposite the Capital One Arena is spacious and industrial chic throughout, and the multi-level venue offers indoor dining room and bar, and the charming rooftop is open and airy for summer sessions, and covered when the weather is colder.
As we entered the venue, we were greeted by a lovely ambiance that immediately impressed us. The rooftop has a posh and sophisticated feel, which we loved, with its stylish decor and beautiful view of the city. My girlfriend was particularly impressed with the art deco-inspired design, which added a touch of elegance to our evening.
The staff was friendly and attentive, and the service was top-notch. We decided to try the crafted cocktails and seasonal drafts, and we were not disappointed. The drinks were delicious and creatively presented, and we could tell that the mixologists were experts at their craft.
As for the food, Bar Deco offers a filling menu of New American dishes that mix traditional preparation with globally-inspired flavors. We decided to take on the ‘CBC: Chinatown Burger Challenge’, which was a 5lb. 4 patty bacon cheeseburger with 1lb. of house fries & a slice of Junction Bakery Cheesecake. The challenge was tough, but we managed to finish it in less than 40 minutes, and our meal was free, which was a pleasant surprise.
