Bar America Review:
During our recent holiday trip to San Antonio, a group of my closest friends and I had the pleasure of visiting Bar America. Located in the trendy Southtown neighborhood, this four generations family owned bar is truly a gem in the city’s nightlife scene. From the moment we stepped inside, we were impressed by the rustic and welcoming atmosphere, which was perfectly complemented by the lively and friendly staff.
What set Bar America apart, however, was undoubtedly the lovely rooftop terrace. Intimate and charming, it offered both a graffiti wall and some fantastic views of the San Antonio skyline. As we sipped on a selection of the over 50 craft beers available at the bar, we couldn’t help but feel a sense of tranquility and relaxation in this cozy sanctuary high above the city.
Aside from the wide range of drinks on offer, Bar America also boasted a full kitchen serving up delicious bar-classics like burgers, wings, and tacos. We were pleasantly surprised by the affordable prices, especially during happy hour. Our group highly recommends trying the tacos, they were a highlight of our dining experience.
As the night began to pick up, so did the excitement at Bar America. DJs, games and sports on the TV were regular occurrences, keeping the upbeat atmosphere alive and kicking. It was clear why this bar is such a popular spot for both locals and visitors alike.
Overall, we had an incredible time at Bar America and highly recommend it to anyone visiting San Antonio. With its lively atmosphere, fantastic rooftop terrace, and delicious food and drinks, it is truly a must-visit spot. Plus, the opening hours on Fridays and Saturdays until 02.00 give you plenty of time to enjoy all that this amazing bar has to offer. We can’t wait to come back!
