Altitude Sky Lounge is the ultimate rooftop bar experience located in San Diego, and I had the pleasure of experiencing this venue with my best friends! From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the panoramic views and modern atmosphere. The double-terrace setup and elevated setting provide breathtaking views of the San Diego skyline, ocean, and Coronado Island. The larger main terrace was perfect for catching beautiful sunsets while sipping on delicious cocktails, and the smaller terrace on the opposite side provided lovely vistas of the city.
The decor was chic and sophisticated, featuring lounge sofas, cozy fire-pits, a large bar, and front row bar stool seats right at the railing. We enjoyed the lively atmosphere and the live DJs who elevated the mood on weekend evenings. We also appreciated the opportunity for VIP bottle service or good deals during weekday Happy Hour (5pm-7pm).
The Altitude rooftop bar had an impressive selection of wine, beer & cocktails, including some very tasty Gin-options, and bar bites like flatbreads and burgers. The food and drinks were delicious, and the service was impeccable. We highly recommend trying the bar bites and their signature cocktails!
One of our favorite things about this rooftop bar was its location. Perched on top of the San Diego Marriott, Altitude is open to all from 5 pm nightly, except during Padre home games when they open at 3 pm. The opening hours on Fridays and Saturdays are from 17.00 – 01.00, making it the perfect place to unwind after a long day or to start your night out.
In conclusion, Altitude Sky Lounge exceeded our expectations and provided us with an unforgettable experience. We highly recommend this venue to anyone looking for a bougie, fancy, and sophisticated rooftop bar experience while in San Diego.
