During our holiday trip to Athens, my friends and I had the pleasure of visiting Art Lounge, a rooftop bar and restaurant perched atop the trendy NEW Hotel. The rooftop bar’s design and setting are both stylish and sophisticated, with breathtaking views of Athens’ iconic landmarks, such as the Acropolis, Lycabettus Hill, Syntagma Square, and the Parliament. The panoramic windows inside the comfy lounge are a great spot to enjoy the stunning vistas while indulging in the library’s over 2000 art books.

The menu at Art Lounge is just as impressive as the views. The rooftop bar and restaurant offer an exceptional selection of food and beverages inspired by Greek and Mediterranean cuisine. We were blown away by the slow-cooked pork dish, Kritharoto, and the NEW Taste Hamburger, made with American Angus beef, which were both signature dishes. The cocktail menu was also impressive, with both signature and classic options to choose from, along with a great selection of Greek and International wines.

We visited Art Lounge for lunch, but the rooftop bar is open daily until midnight, making it a perfect spot for a romantic dinner or relaxing drinks. We also learnt that the rooftop brunch is available from May to October and is a must-visit. The staff were courteous and attentive, and the atmosphere was relaxed and elegant.

We highly recommend Art Lounge to anyone visiting Athens. The sky-high bar and restaurant is perfect for a smart-casual night out, and the views are truly unforgettable. It’s a great spot to unwind with friends or for a romantic evening out. We were all impressed by the overall experience and think you will be too.
