What to wear for Amsterdam rooftop bar: Up on the roof at NEMO in Amsterdam? Dress Code for men and women

During our recent weekend getaway to Amsterdam, my boyfriend and I had the pleasure of visiting the NEMO Science Museum, and we were blown away by the rooftop bar. Designed by the renowned architect Renzo Piano, the rooftop is the highest city square in the Netherlands, and it offers some of the most breathtaking views of the Oosterdok and Amsterdam’s historical center.

What stood out to us the most was the spacious outdoor exhibition called Energetica, which was nothing short of cool. We spent a good amount of time exploring the exhibition and taking in the stunning views. The rooftop also features a modern and bright indoor/outdoor restaurant, which serves up some delicious lunch options and homemade lemonade. My boyfriend was particularly impressed with the restaurant’s menu and couldn’t stop raving about it.

Getting to the rooftop is easy as it can be reached both by stairs at street level or by lift from the central hall in the NEMO building. The best part is that the rooftop is free and open to all daily and year-round, with the only exceptions being bad weather, special events, New Year, and King’s Day. During the summer, the rooftop is also available in the evenings, with a regular schedule of events, like rooftop cinema.

Overall, we would highly recommend visiting the rooftop bar at the NEMO Science Museum. It’s a great spot to enjoy some sunny relaxation and grand views. We even brought our own snacks up to the rooftop to enjoy while basking in the sun. It’s safe to say that the rooftop bar at the NEMO Science Museum was a highlight of our trip to Amsterdam, and we can’t wait to visit again.

Fashion Tips for Rooftop Visits to NEMO Science Museum

Are you planning a visit to NEMO Science Museum’s rooftop and wondering what to wear? As a fashion expert, I suggest dressing up in smart casual attire to match the sophisticated and educational ambiance of the place while keeping it comfortable.

For women, a summer dress or a pair of jeans with a nice blouse would be perfect. Sandals or sneakers would be the best shoes to wear for a comfortable walking experience. If you prefer heels, make sure they are comfortable and easy to walk in. A hat and sunglasses would be great accessories to protect yourself from the sun and complete your look.

For men, a pair of chinos and a polo shirt or a nice button-down shirt would be the best choice. Sneakers or loafers would be perfect for comfortable walking. You can accessorize with a stylish fedora or a pair of sunglasses to add an extra touch of sophistication to your look.

When it comes to fashion brands, you can never go wrong with classic brands like Ralph Lauren, Tommy Hilfiger, or Armani. If you are looking for more affordable options, brands like Zara, H&M, or ASOS offer fashionable and comfortable clothing options.

Remember, dressing up well doesn’t have to be uncomfortable. You can still look stylish while being comfortable and enjoying the stunning views of Amsterdam’s historic center and the Oosterdok. So, dress up, enjoy the rooftop’s features, and make unforgettable memories.
